So Ember (who is almost 5 months) and I have been helping out for family who went out of town for 2 weeks and had to leave their 2 English Cocker Spaniels. We lived for two weeks at my family's place, which included a giant back yard, doggy buddies to play with, etc. Tonight we came back home, which is a much smaller house with a small outside area (we take lots of walks). I noticed that Ember has had her tail down and kinda moping around the house tonight. Do you think she's bummed? I can hardly get a tail wag out of her! Breaks my heart...

I will bet she is just tired. Gavin was a lazy mope for a day or two after being with his bff Mylie for a week. In fact except for me getting him off for food and potty breaks, he was unresponsive and slept for 20 hours! The next day he was back to his usual self.
Very true. She did sleep reallllly hard last night, hardly moved at all. She probably is really wiped from all that activity.
Neely does this too. He gets regular stints with his buddies and when they leave he plays the big sigh and thump with his head on the couch arm looking up at us with those big sad eyes! He gets lots of poor Neely's and lots of rubs but definitely uses the thumb flops down the most!
