Callie is NOT in the top 20 :-(

Hi DK-ers - again, thank you all for your votes and support! The top 20 have been posted and Callie is not in the running. With the possible exception of Dexter Ewok (who is a seriously adorable dog), none of the semi-finalists can hold a candle to Callie (or any of our doodles!).

 

Evidently, the editors of Atlanta Magazine favor smooth-coated dogs and cats (and a rabbit). My bitter-o-meter is running pretty high right now...silly, because it's not like it's personal. If they'd MET her, they'd know she was the best!

I can't believe it! If Atlanta Magazine wasn't going to use the results of the preliminary voting, then why have it. I just cross referenced the 20 finalist with what was the top 20 from prelim voting. Only 3 were the of the final were in the original. I am not sure what Atlanta magazine is up to, but clearly they misrepresented how the finalist would be picked. We should all write letters to the editor complaining. When my issue of Atlanta Magazine arrives in my mailbox I am going to return to them with a nasty-gram attached. Too bad it is a free magazine so I can't even have the satisfaction of canceling my subscription. >:(

I don't understand, it's not right Callie proved she is the best, somethings not right here. Atlanta Magazine be happy I live on the West Coast, if I lived in Atlanta I'd be pounding on your door right now, oh it's after 5 pm there, tomorrow demanding an explanation. Callie your still #1.

No doubt about it, Atlanta Magazine is a rag that isn't worth the paper it's printed on. Throw it in the trash where it belongs!
Better yet, get a whole bunch of copies and burn them! Put a video of the event on Youtube!

Are they nuts????...She is by far the cutest dog in the contest, and she was up on top all the time, I want to know how they did their picking~~~...I am going to send an e-mail to them, I want to see if they will answer.....So sorry Frannie, hugs to both of you...WE all know that Callie is the winner, so pooh on them....
