I look at all these great pictures of all the great doodles here and I wonder if there is something I can do with Oliver.  He hates the camera, he sees it and he runs...It is so hard to get good pictures of him, and it is so frustrating...If you guys knew what I went thru to get the pictures for the holiday cards you wouldn't believe it.  Do you guys have any suggestions?...I have some great ones that a friend took New Years Eve of both my guys, and they are really nice, but he has a very expensive complicated camera, that is very fast, and of course he knows how to use it, lol....Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I have tried treats, toys, u name it...I don't know how he knows the camera, we have tried different ones, no flash, etc. He for some reason sees it and runs....Very frustrating to say the least.  I am going to have a cd made of the great pictures and put them on my site for all to see, but what do I do when I want to take a picture????

Yep, I don't have good help either. It is very difficult to throw the frisbee and take the picture.
thanks dori, I will try your suggestions and maybe join the group, although a new camera is not in the cards right now, lol...But maybe they can tell me how to use mine better...
Faster storage cards are very helplful. We no doubt have a discussion on that, I seem to remember one.
I rest my case...twins for sure (Daisy and Fudge). Here is Fudge on most picture days. She does the exact same thing.
well we can have triplets on that one for sure.  I love Olivers profile, but I love his full face better, lol
LOL they can be such Snots can't they....good thing they are so cute.
yup, I get a lot of those...
Cheryl, little story so you don't feel that you have the only camera hater.  A few nights ago at our puppy park I was there with Rooney and had brought my camera along, there was going to be a puppy bringing a b-day cake and I thought I'd get some cute photos of all of the dogs.  There were 12 puppies but as I was trying to make sure I got a good photo of each puppy - one was missing.  So I ask "where did Rosie go?" and her mom points waaaay over to the far side of the park where she was sitting by an exit gate.  Mind you all the other puppies are eating cake and playing and her mom explained that she hates cameras.  Any camera.  I had never heard of that but I saw it with my own eyes.  I like the idea of on leash, click - treat, click - treat.  Looking forward to some wonderful photos from you.
wow that is an amazing story, I guess Oliver is too food orientated to do that, but I don't know, I would hope he wouldn't do that....I am going to try that with the leash, and treat...
I just tried something that helped with my guys...the squeaker from one of the toys they "destuffed".  I hold the squeaker in my left hand (which is also holding the camera), squeak which gets them to look at me, and then push the button with my right hand REALLY fast.
Jane I love you, I am laughing hysterically, and what makes you think that I am co-ordinated enough to do that all at one time??, lol, but it certainly is worth a try, Ollie loves the squeakers from his toys....
Oh, I may need to buy a squeaky toy for them to destuff. Good idea since now I can't always snap my fingers well and they get jaded with calling etc.
