Can a dog eat Vitamin C

Okay... here we go again with the "bad" mommy syndrome.  I was giving my son a chewable vitamin C tablet when it rolled out of my hand and onto the floor.  Well needless to say who quickly scoffed it up. It was a 500 mg orange flavored tablet....  I looked on-line and all it said is that she could get diarrhea from it.  Any thoughts form the "experts" I trust???  THANKS!!!

HA! Sometimes I will just wrinkle a treat bag and not even have to yell. Then when I hear him coming I can quietly say "Murphy - Come". Immediate gratification for both of us!!! I'm using every opportunity to reinforce "come" I can think of!
When I recently read a book about dogs sight and hearing and smell senses, I learned how far and how well they can hear. Taking advantage of it now that I know.

I don't think any vitamin in a dose used daily for a person could do much harm if any o a dog. Prescription medications are another story but in general a whole lot of pills is worrisome. Some supplements, such as iron, can be toxic in large doses for people too.

You said it. One time my sister-in-laws dog ate her blood pressure pill when it fell on the floor. Of course vomiting needed to be induced. Thank goodness he was alright. From now on... all medication is taken IN the bathroom with the door tightly closed.

This is a good reminder that we ALL need to practice the "LEAVE IT" and "DROP IT" commands probably more frequently than we do.

Nah.. she just eats steel - screws.... Great idea about the book! Then I could retire early!!! My class already knows so much about Tori. I should really write all the stories down... LOL
