best wishes and hopes for a speedy recovery
Oh Allyson I am soo sorry for this. I thought WTD when I read the title, thinking your post baby self is so exhausted that you typed your baby's name instead of your dog's name. I don't want to be a Polly Anna when you need a commiserator, but it is good that they caught it so early. Prayers and best thought going out to you and your family.
p.s. we have missed you too
Love and snuggles.
Allyson, I've been wondering about you and almost posted in the mommy group to see how you're doing. I'm sorry to hear this news. When I first read your post's title I was trying to remember which doodle was 'Charlotte' and then I realized it was your baby not a doodle. Hip dysplasia is such a term you usually think about for dogs.
I have a good friend who had hip dysplasia and she's doing well, but I googled for more info and photos. No fun thinking ANYTHING is wrong with your baby or that she'll have to wear any special contraptions. The heartache and worry is huge no matter how big or small the issue is. Luckily it sounds like the prognosis is pretty good from my googling, is that what the pediatrician also has said for Charlotte?
She is so young she will never remember a thing--it will be much harder on you! I remember a niece of mine had this and she is now 42--no problems in life at all. But she had to have a hard cast for 6 months! So it looks like things have improved--chin up--as you know, it could be worse. I hope all goes well.
