Thanks to all of you who passed on suggestions and good wishes to my earlier discussion. As it turns out, Chervil's vomiting continued, and the vet grew increasingly concerned when even the anti-vomiting medicine didn't work. Early xrays didn't show any visible obstruction, but xrays this morning, after injecting some sort of dye) indicate that there's either something that's very difficult to see obstructing her or there's a problem connected with an organ. Her stomach is extended and so there may be a tumor there, or a liver node growth, or some other surprise. We got to go see her before surgery, which was wonderful and agonizing, too. Please send good thoughts. It's just awful to see her get so sick so suddenly and not know the likely outcome. Even sick, though, she remained sweet and happy to see us.

Know that we are praying for your sweet Chervil and hoping to hear very soon that the surgery was successful and treatment will lead to a complete recovery.
Good thing they went in. An intestinal perforation along with blockage needs to be treated by definitive methods.
so glad to hear she is doing better. hugs to you both.
Oh Dear Linda, this is something i fear for my sweet Bella all the time. She is so quick to pick up everything and anything if out of my sight for a minute. We are thinking of putting a plastic muzzle on her just to let her outside to go potty to avoid just this issue.
So glad she is doing well and keep us posted as we all get so invested in every doodle out there in Doodlekisses kingdom.
Sue--did you know Chervil is Murphy's sister? April's litter from Dec, three years ago? (Happy Birthday, Murphy!). Thanks for all the good wishes--family arranges itself in interesting ways, doesn't it?? Linda
If I knew I forgot!!! OMD. That makes me even more concerned for her health. I would be sick if my sweet Murphy had to go through surgery!!! I would have to take him home and recover him myself though as the nurse in me would be too overprotective.
She looks more like their brother, who also is named Murphy and lives just a mile away. We see them often and they will be together for our monthly Arizona Doodle romp tomorrow. The brothers flew into Phoenix airport together and have been close companions ever since.
Yes, family does arrange itself in interesting ways.
oh no! sending you and Chervil lots of doodle hugs and kisses for a speedy recovery!
Praying for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery!
So sorry to hear about Chervil's illness! Sending prayers and good thoughts for her and hugs to you! Please keep us posted on her situation!
I am so glad to hear the updated results. Hurry and get well, Chervil.
How scary for all of you. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us updated.
