I am very sorry to hear this. What does your vet advise?

I'm very sorry.

This is most likely genetic. It won't make you or your dog feel any better, but if your puppy is from a reputable breeder, this should be covered under your health warranty. That would at least ease the financial strain, if not the emotional ones.

I'm sorry, what horrible news.

I have no advice to offer.

Anick ~ I am so sorry to hear this.  What advice did your vet give you? I have read that while it cannot be reversed or cured, treatment and management aimed at reducing the contributing factors and symptoms can slow its progression.  I am keep my fingers cross for you and your beautiful boy.

I'm so sorry....you must be heartbroken.

What shocking news, please come back here so that at least you can share your upset and vent. You will find lots of willing and sympathetic listeners here. I do hope you can find answers that mean your puppy has some qualitty of life and that you can manage his symptoms with knowledge and best medical practice. Please do go back to the breeder as this is very likely genetic.

So sorry to hear this.  so sad

Very sorry to hear your sweet beautiful boy has this condition!  Sending hugs and positive thoughts!  Please keep us updated as you seek treatment for him.

Like others here, my heart goes out to you and Pax.  Sending hope, it does sound like it can be managed.  I had a min. dachshund as a child that was diagnosed at 10 and lived 5 more years.  I guess it varies widely depending on the progression of the disease.  Please do advise your breeder.

I am so very sorry. Sending my support.

I am very sorry for all of you! This is heartbreaking.
