Looks like a doodle we also really wanted (image attached). Our daughter fell in love with it.   However, it was a good thing we did not select this one, in retrospect, because I think it would have not been 'hypoallergenic.'  I agree, a higher poodle % would be safer (F1B, F2B, multigen), but not a guarantee.  You probably would have to do a visit for a good length of time at the doodle's place or a home visit as said above to make sure.  Also, it may be better to wait until the coat is more developed - you can see more of how the coat will turn out after a few months.

Yea they look the same. ;(

spending a great deal of time with a puppy isn't even going to guarantee you that you will have a doodle that doesn't cause allergy problems because the puppy coat is going to change before they are a year old and the problems could start them.  Even worse situation because you are even more attached at that point.

Well, I took photos to my vet and she is a golden and laberdoodle mom. She said this is what her golden doodle looked like and it sheds like crazy. I'm heartbroken. I didn't discuss with breeder and hope I can get my money back...

I hope after you explain that your children are very allergic that the breeder will give you a refund.

So the breeder also has this puppy. Will her coat be more poodle like?

This puppy will be wavier/curlier at any rate.

She is adorable. I really need to quit looking at puppy pics, one dood is enough for me. But yes, this one is wavier/curlier. While still no guarantees, the odds would be more in favor of this one being low to non shedding over the first one.

The odds would be better for less shedding, but if your kids are allergic to saliva, it might not be any better.

True, my adult daughter broke out in hives when Annabelle licked her as a 4 month old puppy. Now that Annabelle is an adult, her saliva doesn't have any affect on my daughter. I don't know what else changed, besides Annabelle's age.

There are so many posts on this site that talk about allergies - what causes them and also how many doodles coats change over the course of the first year. Please read them all before committing to getting a doodle.  In all honesty, I would never get a doodle if I had a child who had allergies!  I absolutely know how cute and smart doodles are, but there are lots of purebred dogs that are guaranteed not to shed that are just as cute and smart!  My granddaughter has allergies and asthma and it's heartbreaking to watch her bring out her inhaler every time she has trouble breathing!  If I could prevent that, I would do everything in my power to do it!  I honestly think that getting a doodle, having your kids fall in love with it and then having to rehome it would be heartbreaking for your kids and very unfair to the puppy.  I cannot imagine the guilt that your kids would feel, knowing that because they are having a reaction, their very loved puppy has to go to a different home.  We have been very lucky with our doodle, she does not shed, but it's a crap shoot, 50-50, and when we no longer have Myla (can't even think about that day!), I would definitely not take the chance - I would go for a poodle from a very reputable breeder, who breeds for health and temperament, and groom her like a doodle.

I have to chime in here. You have gotten some great advice already.

I have had allergies all my life. Maybe not as bad as some people, but I'm probably more educated on the issue than most.

You don't say how old your kids are, but they are kids, and allergies can change throughout one's life. I wasn't allergic to cats until about maybe 8 or 9 years old, I can't remember exactly. I am seriously so allergic to them.

There are some dogs that cause an allergic reaction in me, and some I'm fine with. It also is very relative to my overall health. Certain times of the year when there are other things in the air, my sensitivity is more. Also if I feel a bit run down I usually react more strongly to allergy factors. I had a previous dog that was a mutt, shepherd pitt bull mix. I considered her my litmus test as I knew I was run down if I reacted to her.

I have a doodle. I didn't get a doodle in the belief that it was hypoallergenic, I did think if it helped a little it wouldn't be a bad thing.

Dogs that are healthy and bathed regularly cause me less problems regardless of breed. I visited a friend many years back that had a non-shedding small white dog, but it had some skin issues and I didn't last very long.

Labradors cause me lots of problems. There must be something in their coat that irritates me.

Your situation may be different, but I would think carefully about whether it's a good idea to get a dog or not if I had kids with allergies issues. If you decide to go through with it, make sure you have a back up plan, meaning some really great home that can take your dog, just in case.
