Companion needed

I was thinking that Harpo would be a fine "only dog", but now I am not so sure.  His friend Laila is staying with us for a while and they are so bonded that I question he could make it without her (or another pup).  Yesterday I took her for a walk around the neighborhood and he was frantic in the house alone.  They wrestle and play constantly.  So, anyone know of a dog that is available for rescue or rehome who would be a good companion for Harpo?  My breeder is breeding some sheepadoodles, but they will not be available for a year and that is a long time for a dog to wait for a companion.

Lynda, I had commented on your status when Groucho Too sadly went to the Bridge. Poor Harpo.  Hoping DRC can help but here's another thought.  Some Golden Retriever Rescues here are starting to take in golden doodles. You might also try that.  RIP Groucho Too.

Lynda, I just want to add my name to the list of people offering condolences. I hope that you're able to find a new buddy for Harpo, and when you do, that fur baby (or furry adult doodle) will help the whole family heal. I'm very sorry.
