Cooper has us worried. He has lost a little over 4 lbs in the past 6 weeks. Had another seizure. Seems lethargic a lot of the time. When I talked to his Dr. today, she suggested that I bring him in for the weight check after I mentioned that he was only eating once a day instead of twice now. That's how we found the weight loss. She wasn't in the office, so they called her and we scheduled an appointment for next Tues. I don't think it is a emergency situation, but I do agree that he needs to be looked over again. :-(
UPDATE: Tuesday evening. Cooper saw his Vet late this afternoon. He lost almost another 2 lbs since Friday, so that makes almost 6 lbs. He is also running a fever. Other than that the examination was unremarkable. She decided to run a complete blood panel on him. We should have that back tomorrow and will call me as soon as she gets the results. So for now, she is treating the fever with an anti-inflammatory and shot of antibiotics just in case he has an infection. Will pick up more antibiotics in the morning, if warranted.

Sorry to hear about this. Hope you get quick and good treatment and results.
So sorry to hear this. Hope they figure out it is something simple. Keeping you in our thoughts and will await an update on Tuesday.
I'm sure you must be worried...poor Cooper. Here's hoping it's something easily treatable and that he's better soon.
Please let us know what the vet says. Hope he feels better soon.
I'm sorry to hear this, Martha. I hope it's something easily remedied. I'll be thinking of you and hoping for a positive update. <3
Sorry to hear Cooper is not feeling well. Keep us posted.
Can he have some extra foods- some thing that will tempt him? poor baby-hoe he feels better
Thanks everyone. I appreciate all the good vibes. We are just keeping an eye on him and lots of extra belly rubs for now. Not much else to do. She doesn't want me to change his diet in anyway because of his liver illness, at least until we decide if that is the cause of his setback. I have valium to give him in case he has another breakthrough seizure, but so far, he hasn't.
I am so sorry that Cooper is not doing well. I hope you have good news to relate to us after his vet visit.
So sorry to hear that Cooper is not feeling well. Will keep him in prayer and hopes for an easy resolution of his symptoms.
Cooper laid around all weekend, only ate about a third of his normal diet each day. I finally decided this evening that I was going to go ahead and offer him a little bit of plain yogurt with his food to tempt him. I do mean a little. Less than a teaspoon. I mixed it in with his Liver Diet and at least he ate one meal. :-) He is drinking his water, just doesn't seem to be interested in his food or any of his allowed treats. Oh how they worry us.
