Since we're due with our forth child Nov. 4th, I am trying to find costumes for my kids early -- furry and non-furry. I was wondering what costumes have caught your eye this year, and if there are any sites you have purchased dog costumes from and been happy with?
Last year I got Veruca a Monster costume but she was NOT happy with the "head" it was a hat that put a velcro piece under her neck. She wasn't cooperative. Those of you that have dogs that wear hats, is there a trick to getting them comfy with it?
A few years ago, I tried to get my 5 month old Labradoole to wear a costume....not very successful.
When we finally get Rua on 9/24, I am going to start her off right. I have a Pink Princess costume for her...no hats, though. I ordered it through Amazon.com.
Oh No you don't!!!!!!! How could you think of making my sweet adorable Darwin a nerdy geek? Run and hide, Darwin! Auntie Karen and Jackdoodle are coming to save you from being made a laughing stock!
Hmmm, Aunt Karen.....how come you didn't mind when Mom called me a Nerd and said that she was dressing me up. You thought that was pretty funny. Now you and JD are going to save Darwin...WTD! It certainly seems like you love Darwin more than me. Boo Hoo.
A Heartbroken Guinness
Guinness, you know that isn't true! How many times have we sent you a message encouraging you to run from the bandanas and applauding your refusal to allow yourself to be dressed up? We figured you simply wouldn't allow it! We were counting on you to raise Murphy up in the ways of manly doodlehood, too!
Darwin is innocent and unsuspecting, we fear we have neglected his education in these matters and were simply attempting to correct the error.
Guinness, you know we love you. And as for being called a nerd, you should hear some of the things I get called! How about Bozo? That's a clown!
Just remember, sticks and stones may break our bones, but doodle teeth and paws can make mincemeat out of silly costumes!
Your brother in nakedness,
Jackdoodle
Okay, JD, I feel WAY better now! Thanks for clearing all that up, and you're right....Darwin must be taught that rebellion is the only answer...and never trust your Mom when she says "oh how cute you'll look in this". That always means she's up to no good. I'm off to Daycare now so the "carpet cleaning men" can come. My Mom seems to really like those carpet guys...they're here all the time. It may have something to do with last week when Big Murph got sick all over the rug...and when he get's sick, it's a REALLY HUGE mess to clean up.
