Hello Ladies!

Since we're due with our forth child Nov. 4th, I am trying to find costumes for my kids early -- furry and non-furry.  I was wondering what costumes have caught your eye this year, and if there are any sites you have purchased dog costumes from and been happy with?

Last year I got Veruca a Monster costume but she was NOT happy with the "head" it was a hat that put a velcro piece under her neck.  She wasn't cooperative.  Those of you that have dogs that wear hats, is there a trick to getting them comfy with it?

styrofoam covered in tinfoil? You could staple an elastic strap to the bottom of either side...
I'll give this a try. I think I can do this :-)
How about shaping the aluminum foil over the balloon into the hershy kiss shape, and once it is complete, pop the balloon?
We shopped yesterday for costumes with my grandchildren. Michaela, age 10, got a lady bug costume that she plans to turn into something "evil" by adding red sequined horns and tail. She got a matching outfit for her dood, Rosie. Haley, age 7, got a bumble bee and got a matching outfit for her/my dood, Maggie.

They were all purchased at Walmart for very reasonable prices. They did have a nice selection for dogs.
For your non-furry kids, here is one my mom made for me when I was in 4th grade (sorry no photo): I wore purple tights, and a purple turtleneck. Mom pinned purple balloons all over me (included arms) and made me a little stem for a hat. Yes, folks, I was a clump of grapes and I WON THE CONTEST FOR MY ENTIRE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL :)
You certainly have a great Mom.....I lacked in the creative "homemade costume" department with my kids. It was "store bought" for my poor kids. They do remind me of that from time to time.
I have seen that costume idea! Question, How did you sit down? :-)
I didn't have them on my bum.... :)
I am thinking of making Savannah a sheep from the serta matress commercials by painting a number on her side with dog-friendly dye. I am still thinking of what to do for Raleigh
My daughter picked out a cow costume for Hudson at Pet Smart. She had him try on just about every costume there and we decided he looked the cutest in that. She is going to be a farm girl, and take Hudson along as her cow.
Every time I buy an Apple product, which seems to be quite often, it comes with a couple of Apple logo stickers. Halas loves to sit on my lap. Not lay down, but just sit directly on my lap, facing away from me. So I'm going to put a couple of these stickers on him, and he's going to be a laptop, specifically, a MacBook Pro.
