Hello Ladies!

Since we're due with our forth child Nov. 4th, I am trying to find costumes for my kids early -- furry and non-furry.  I was wondering what costumes have caught your eye this year, and if there are any sites you have purchased dog costumes from and been happy with?

Last year I got Veruca a Monster costume but she was NOT happy with the "head" it was a hat that put a velcro piece under her neck.  She wasn't cooperative.  Those of you that have dogs that wear hats, is there a trick to getting them comfy with it?

Just dropped my boys off, and now it's time to shop for Halloween costumes. I found a perfect "nerd" get up. It's even got the name tag and pocket protector. I know it will bring back memories of my business meetings in the 80's. HA HA!! Guinness won't know what hit him until it's too late. Now I need a bow tie and a little brief case.
Okay, that does it! Guinness, we're coming to get you! We will not allow you to be humiliated in this horrifying manner!

We found a nerd costume today too. A brown sweater vest, plaid bow tie, thick glasses with tape around the nose bridge... and a pocket protector. Now I need to find a child sized white shirt. (they sell a combination glasses pocket protector and bow tie at Joanns craft store)
Karen, I tried to run away fast but I tripped and she got me. Then she put me in the costume to "practice." It was embarrassing but at least I got a piece of cheese... - Darwin
Oh, Darwin, I so feel your pain. It really sucks that we are such nice dogs, otherwise we could bite them for this kind of stuff.
Your friend in clumsiness,

I myself was going to dress up as a doodle, at least one night I could have everyone telling me how cute I am and give me lots of attention and treats:) LOL!! As for the doods, I think Bandit will be a skunk, and Rosey a giraffe. Although I have no leads on costumes just yet. And DH will probably die when I tell him we have to take them trick or treating:)
Hah.. you could take Camilla's idea! Dress the Dogs up as Humans and you guys could be the dogs! I'd pay to see those pictures. ;)
Ooh me too. My DH just said the princess costumes were sad. I think he meant dressing Allie up at all. Boy, does he have a surprise come Halloween. Last year we had Allie, she was just not up on her vacines so I did not get her out. This year watch out. She already has her Halloween collar!!!
Petedge.com has a ton of costumes, collars, toys ect. It's where I bought my clippers, shampoo, and toys for our spoiled furkids. They have pretty good prices too!!!!
At the end of the summer, I bought a Hawaiian leis and a grass skirt at the dollar store. I was thinking about making the leis into a little bra, and cut the skirt really short, so Charlie can be a hula girl. But then, I saw a really cute black and orange Halloween sweater at the pet store, cute little black and orange tutu, and the orange witch's hat head-band at the dollar store, too. So I am undecided....
Last year, Charlie had a hat on, but it was knitted and very close to her head with her ears completlely free. So, she really did not mind it at all..... Her costume was basically the sweater as well, she she didn't mind wearing it either.
Has anyone tried making a Hershey Kisses hat? I thought about this for Max since he's "chocolate" but I don't sew. Maybe aluminum foil?
You just inspired me to look on Etsy... OMD! Cuteness overload. Too many options. Unfortunately I don't see a Hershey kiss costume, but it's a GREAT idea. If you do it - please post pictures.
