coyote vests

Hi,  I know we have had discussions in our group about protection of our pets from dogs and other animals such as hawks and coyotes. This video caught my attention and I wondered everyone's thoughts on on this were?  Thanks.

I don't see coyotes where I live now, but they were a problem where I used to live with killing pets. Some of the dogs killed weren't all that small either. I had a friend that had her 80lb dog out for a walk in the foothills and was accosted by one. He wasn't moving along, he stayed there and stood his ground. It was quite scary for her. Who knows how it would have ended if other walkers on the trail hadn't come along and scared him off. At Annabelle's weight ,she is usually one of the smallest wherever we go. If having one of those vests would deter an attack just a little bit and buy me some extra time, it would be worth it.

I don't have any problem with coyotes where I live but if I did, even as silly as it looks, I would definitely get it for my girls! I imagine it would be very traumatic to watch while your dog was being attacked. Once he was done with them, whats to keep him from attacking the dog walker?
