That is so cute! I have seen my guy scratch his face once in awhile. After he eats, he rubs his face on the carpet or couch while he spins around with his butt in the air. I will try to get a video.
My Springer leaves a poop trail - always has. He is 10 now!
Actually, Enzo does this as well! But then again, we have cats too, so maybe it is "feline taught". She will do a figure eight in and around your legs...and then stop mid stream and look at you, like " well, I am here to be petted....get moving!"
We call Charlie a "cat dog" because of this.
Funny, after reading this thread, I think at least one of my dogs does all these quirky things!
My Gus does this, and we don't have cats. He just does it. He also likes to "sit" on the couch and look out our living room window. Lilly on the other hand likes to walk around the house with something in her mouth. She'll take a dish towel, socks (clean or dirty), anything really. Luckly that's all she does with them. Doesn't chew them up or eat them. Just carry them around.
Crush walks around half-squatting for a few moments while she sniffs around for the perfect spot. She, too, will get distracted at the sound of people or other dogs, then has to start her routine over again.
HA....Violet paces back and forth and back and forth just to find the right poop spot.....really ??! Aperfect place to poop... AWE Voilet..... :)
Picco does his little frantic shuffle finding the perfect poop spot too.
