Okay, Doodle lovers worldwide(?) are we global yet?

Don't know

Must say the last time i did puppy training was 17 yrs ago...before any of my children were married and now i have 8 Grands..give you any idea how i have aged. This training is meant for the young, but i am determined.

i am curious how important and when should i start doggie day care. I am thinking it must be important b/c these doodles are known to be ...shall we say..active. I was always thinking doggie day care was for people who worked etc...Can someone illuminate please

My husband, who will be known as Papa, from here on out & I brought home from Orlando to S.E. Fl. a 3 lb petite doodle

i know some of you may be wincing..but that's what the breeder said she will be.  Apprx. 12-15 lbs.

She's mighty cute and gotta say beats the smarts my Maltese ever had.At this point, even after 24 hrs. i'm worried she may be smarter than me!

She slept thru the night in a small travel kennel, that the breeder absolutely advocated for. She was very against a crate for her pups at this point. So far, she's dead on accurate. I'm not sure if she whimpered at all or not...after 7 hrs in the car i was out cold.

She ate almost nothing yesterday & drank maybe 2 cc's of water...so that might be how she made it through so long...b/c today she is peeing every 35/45 minutes.  She is doing a good job of alerting me though by whimpering.

she already knows a treat comes with going pee..However, the two i bought she is so/so about..any good suggestions i am all ears.

She's on Acana wild prarie and i of course kept her on it. Breeder never mentioned a treat name.

Well, i am glad to finally be an official member of the clan..and i look forward to getting lots of advise, consulting & praise..when need from this Wonderful site!!

thanks in advance to all

She is just darling! You do not have to put her in day care for exercise. Of course, if you want to that's an option, but with a tiny one like that, she will get enough exercise on walks and playing with you. We have two standard doodles and do not put them in day care or go to dog parks. Nancy's advice about exposing her to lots of people and different situations is excellent. Just remember not to let her potty where other dogs may have been until she has had all of her shots.
