This is driving me nuts! I have a big water bowl for Fozzy Bear on the floor. But I cannot leave it on the floor because if I do, the two front paws go right into it and Fozzy begins digging - in the bowl. If I put a small bowl on the floor, I am constantly filling it up. If I put the water in an elevated dish, he tips it over. Has your dood ever done this, and if so, has he grown out of it??? He also tries to dig through our kitchen floor!
Anywhere there is water, she will drop her ball. She looooooves water!! Actually, this bucket is at my neighbor's house. The ones who have the two Springers that show up in Gracie's photos from time to time.
How cute-maybe it is the retreiver in them that they like water so much. Or maybe she is just a fussy female who likes clean tennis balls. Whatever it is-she is just adorable! We are still thawing out here in Toronto-but can't wait until we can take our boy up to the cottage in the spring summer months. BTW Gracies collar(red with the green bells on it) is so nice. Where did you buy this?
Gracie's collar was on her at Christmas time. Can you believe that Christmas in San Diego is usually sunny and warm???!!!! I bought it at PetCo but this was her second Christmas wearing it. Gracie is totally obsessed with water and tennis balls!
Yes, we have green grass here in San Diego!!! Lots of water too! I was born and raised here and always want to be in the snow. I have to go to Boston to visit my three grandsons to get the snow. I would love to have more snow to take Gracie to. We had two snow falls this year in our mountains but it all melts so quickly. Mud...I hate mud!!! And...you can have it at anytime...even with green grass! LOL
No way can I take her to Boston. We live in California and she is a Standard Golden Doodle who weighs 73 lbs. She would need the entire row of seats which would be very costly!!!!! And...there is NO way I will ever put a dog in the luggage compartment of a plane. I sure do wish I could take her with me though. I am in Redwood City right now just south of San Francisco visiting my daughter and her husband for three days. My husband is home with Gracie and I really miss her. I will see her tomorrow night. I would just love to take her with us everywhere we go. This would have been an 8-10 hour drive and the flight is only 1 1/2 hours. Huge difference!!!
Bummer~ but can you imagine how he would react to the snow????? Well, I guess that is the price you pay for having perfect weather all year round! And green grass~ do you know how many months it has been since I have seen green grass? 5!
How old is he? Ours went through phase of doing this, usually in protest at being left home alone. He soon learnt not too after the Ontario heat and humidity arrived for the summer - no fun spending a few hours at home alone with no water after you have dug it all out of your bowl and it has run away across the floor (an interesting way for us to learn our kitchen floor isn't level!!). He doesn't do it anymore, so your boy might grow out of it too. We bought a heavy ceramic bowl, as he used to dig and then tip up the lighter ones.
I just got my Original Buddy Bowl 2 gal. size. You are right; it is hard to get the top off. However it will be worth it because it'll hold so much water. It will be great in the RV. I have one question though. The middle part (cone shaped) has a hole part way up the side with what looks like a ball bearing. Why????
