My last gd (r.i.p.) had Addisons disease along with many, many ear infections. Sure enought my Lauscha (11 mo) also has her first ear infection. Yesterday I was trying to find her syringe for her ear medicine. The ONE I received from her vet. Later I found it and realized something that never occurred to me before (light bulb moment) Why oh why would I use the same syringe on her 'yeast' infected ear/s for 14 days! Even with washing it out before each time. It doesn't take a medical degree to FINALLY figure out I could be re-infecting her ear/s with the same syringe! So I ordered 100 syringers from this site today. http://www.researchsupply.net/3_ml_Luer_Slip_Syringe.html with out needles of course. Shipping was a bit high ($13.10) but for 100 of them my total was about $24.00. Hopefully it'll be worth every penny, and I can cut down on infections by throwing them out after each use. I'd really like to hear if anyone else gets ONE syringe per ear infection and if you think this 'might' help. Kathy & Lauscha

When I have needed to use them I just take the syringe apart and wash it in hot soapy water. I don't have a problem with resuing them. Although a separate syringe for each ear would be helpful.
Please remember to crush your syringe before disposing of it so it can't find a second life on the street.
Sounds sensible so it doesn't reinfect!
Good idea on crushing it when done also Cindy!
