Personally, I dread holloween with 2 dogs this year. Last year Bella was a puppy and we stayed in the bedroom while DH answered the door. But this year they will both be going crazy everytime the doorbell rings and even more crazy if they see the kids dressed in costumes. There is just no time to train them to get used to this one night.
I usually take Murphy in the bedroom, turn on the TV and DH goes outside and sits on the porch so the kiddies don't ring the doorbell and he gives out candy. Dogs don;t have a clue whats going on. I would not have them at home with that many people all dressed up. Never know what would spook him and the noise alone might scare him if he;s locked up in a cage in another room.
Sounds like the doggie sleep over would be a real treat for him.
The Woof Carlton sounds like the best idea and a wonderful place for Amante to be that night, Rose Ann.
You can enjoy your party without having to worry about Amante...and I'm sure he'll have a good time too!
With the doorbell ringing all night and all of those people in your house...you just might want to book yourself a room in a great place also...Lol...
Board for sure-that's a lot of people! You will not enjoy yourself if you worry about him getting out which he probably would.
Great one night stay at a doggie hotel would be a great start!!! (cage free if you can)
