Some of you know that Murph was a very naughty boy on our walk yesterday....lots of reactiveness after a one month "hiatus" from these behaviors. Since we got home yesterday, he's been avoiding me like the plague. He's steering clear of Mom.....no coming over for cuddles or following me around the house....he even hangs his head when I look at him.
This reminds me of my "other guys" in the house. My DH and DS refer to it as being "in the dog house". They know when I'm upset with them, and they just lay low waiting for me to get over it. It usually takes a day or two of them being on their best behavior, and then I forgive and forget. I think its' so funny that Murph is following their lead. I thought this morning he'd forget....but no, he's still staying away from Mom.
So, I'm wondering....do your Doodles know when you're mad at them? What do they do?

yes, whenever I found something having been ripped up or destroyed (not very often anymore), I'd get mad and issue a few curse words and tell the doodles they've been naughty. They know I'm upset, and get very quiet and look so sheepish. It doesn't last long, mostly because I can't stay mad more than 10 minutes.
Oh, yes! In the past, if I was really upset with Sydney and Olivia, they would both jump into one of their beds together and sit side by side watching me. I try not to get too emotional (negatively) anymore, since they are sooooo sensitive. In the past, they would sometimes refuse to eat if I became upset with them. Amazing Doodles they are!!!!
If I catch Bailey in the act of doing something bad..she will hang her head and not look at me. I can't stay mad long though...she is just to darn loveable...
It's hard to get mad at Haley and if I do it only last a minute or so. And, Haley doesn't know I'm mad at him even if I say "bad dog" or "shame on you".
LOL....awwww Murphy, your Mom knows you'll do great next time....you'll prove to her that you really know "how to be".
This is so cute Jane! Banjo never shows "shame"....he just goes on about his life without a care for how we might be feeling.
My doodles do not have such good sense in this regard. They come up to me as if nothing happened and after a while who could resist. Right now they are both in their crates since they were digging before breakfast! It will also give me time to blow up the horseball I got them before Luca can get his teeth on it : )
Oh, F.....try to get some pics of them playing with the ball.
What's a horseball??!!
Believe it or not horses play ball. I have pictures of the ball in my discussion on the front page. Here:
Amazing....I never would have thought. Thanks
I had no idea horses play like this. Would love to see a video of your doodles playing with the ball.
I'll try : )
