Does anyone else's doodle do this?

Sometimes Orwell sits like this and surveys his surroundings:

I think he looks like he's trying to be a human. I had to tell him stay to get this picture. I was previously sat on the steps when he came up behind me to sit next to me. He's developed this way of sitting over the past few months. 

Does anyone have this sitting behavior, or another behavior where you think they look like they are trying to act human?

LOL.....cute.  My big guy sits like that on our indoor stairs because then he can see out the front windows.

I don't know if he's trying to be human...but Mally gives me the "side eye" from time to time when I'm talking to him. It's pretty hilarious.

LOL oh yes.  At first I thought it was my imagination (or I was crazy) but Finn copies. If I roll my eyes at him, he'll roll his eyes.  If I scold his little sister, Song, Finn joins me and grumbles or barks at her.  If I hug him, I'll feel his paws tighten around me. And then there's the side eye lol.  My DIL says he's not a dog, he's a monkey. I've never seen this with other breeds I've had -- maybe it's the poodle genes ?????

Orwell hugs too... but with his head. Though, if I've just come home he hugs me standing up. I don't let him jump on anyone else, and he seems to understand that I want it and it's okay for me, but not for everyone else.

My pup started sitting on the stairs like that when he was 4 months old.  its so silly, its looks like he is too tired to hold up his own hiney

So cute. I think they tucker themselves out and crash very suddenly... just depends where. My boy typically does this at the top of the stairs at night before he decides whether he wants to lay on the cold wood floor downstairs, or stay upstairs with me.

Yup !  Hanna does that every morning-its like she just cant quite bring herself to make it all the way down the stairs to start the day just yet!

He is a cutie.  Beau will sit on the couch and hang is front feet over to the floor, or sleep with his head about 3 inches above the floor with his body in the chair or couch.
