I may have missed this discussion, but I see a crown on Laurie and Sherri's and my own profile pictures. Does anyone else? And what are they there for? Just curious.

I think it means you feed your dog at Burger King? Of course, I don't have a crown

Karen, do not read this. Oh no I can refute that but it means outing myself. I sometimes buy the doodles a burger at Burger King and I didn't get a crown.

LOL. I have had a miserable, very expensive Friday 13th (broken water pipe) and you both made me laugh.

Joanne, how do you think of these things? LOL

What a bummer, Karen!

Oh Karen, NO! My DH came home on Thursday night and heard water spewing out under our crawl space (we don't have basements in CA). It was a leak in a water pipe. It doesn't even freeze and thaw here. My DH "fixed" it, I hope. ;o)

I don't have a basement in this house either, which was a HUGE mistake.

The broken pipe was actually caused by the plumber (although he denies it) rodding out the line. It started out as just a bad clog. Ended up as three holes in the walls where the *#!@!! plumber cut them open looking for the source of the water on the floor in the laundry room and the furnace room. :(

Now I'm going to have to get the walls fixed and painted, too.

On the plus side, Drano is sending me $10 because their product failed to clear the pipes. Now if they would just do that 100 times, I could break even.

How frustrating! I think having a DH that "fixes" things can be annoying sometimes, but paying someone to mess up would be the worst! Too bad your plumber doesn't have Drano's failure policy.

I have a tiny leak in my outside water faucet turn off in the basement. It took me a week to go to check it, this morning, because I HATE going down there. I'm compiling a plumber list : ( Years ago, after I had hot water spewing across my kitchen I gave up all plumbing repairs.

Don't laugh.  In the old days when my DH worked the night shift, the local coppers got two for one at the BK 24 hour drive through.  One very cold, quiet night shift, he found a dog hanging out in the front yard of a house, picked him up and kept him with him in the cruiser for company for the night.  He got his two-fers at BK and fed the dog too.  Dropped him off the next morning.  Their relationship continued on and off most of the cold winter months :)

Nice story and presumably they both survived.

That is a sweet story!

LOL...everyday we go through the drive thru and get two Whoppers :)
