This is a Bissell Poweredge Pet hard floor vac-I'm SOOOOO tired of tumbleweeds! I keep finding hair tumbleweeds in the same places everyday or even multiple times a day. I sweep them up and next time I go back and they are back! It is SO FRUSTRATING! DH had put a new laminate floor in the office and we had one in the kitchen. I was using a broom and dustpan and then I would go over it again with a dry swiffer mop before I mop the floor. DH is VERY particular about what I use so it doesn't scratch the floor.

Last weekend I found this-it has rubber wheel (not plastic) and the pink things are like rubber sweepers and it sucks it up. The shape is to get against the baseboards. Just what we need is ANOTHER vac in the closet but I will break the bank buying swiffers for 2 rooms now to use multiple times a day! Anyway, if someone has this or seen it in person do you think it would pick up tumbleweeds for good (until next cleaning not next hour) or what do you do you use on laminate/hardwood?? My doodles don't shed a lot but there's quite a bit of those creatures everyday.

On Bissell.com if you order before June 30th-you get 10% off ($44.99) free shipping and then they will also donate 10% to animal shelters. So now would be the time. It's 49.99 at Target.

ANY advice??? It's driving me nutty! I know there are bigger issues in the world but this one keeps popping up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS!!

This sounds like me 5 years ago.  After an Akita, German Shep and 4 cats all at the same time - the tumbleweed from our 1 doodle is like heaven.  I had a vac attached to my hip back then.  I remember that frustration though.  I have a hoover that has a shoulder strap and a long wand.  Love it.

Wow a shoulder strap-my husband may even help if we had that!!!!

To elaborate on what Adina said, we use an Electrolux Ergorapido.  Adina 'gulped' at the price but it gets used so much more than the bigger vac for dust bunnies.  It is just constantly available in it's little charging stand.  Just pick it up and use it.  It has a small rotating brush head.  And I really don't think it marks up our hardwood.

Here's a link on Amazon with a video and ratings.

Thanks Clark! I would really have to fib about the price to DH!!

My cheap little dirt devil canister vac went caput this morning! - along with my microwave yesterday - my bad luck streak hasn't ended yet :-(

I have hard wood floors throughout, but also need something that will suck up the cat hair on the sofa and cushions. I'm going to check out walmart this afternoon. Let me know what you get Jennifer.

Sounds like a bad day! I will let you know what I decide-thanks!
Sherri-I ended up getting the Bissell Pet Edge...haven't put it together yet. I'm fine with using our regular vac on the furniture-the other 2 rooms were driving me nutso!! What did you find? Jenny
I swear by my dyson. It is the big one but with the roller ball it is easy and it also filters the air so I am not just blowing the dust bunnies around and chasing them into a corner before they are sucked up. I gave up on the little ones. I don't have to charge it, IT holds alot so I don't have to empty it immediately. They are expensive but I still love it.
I love my sister in laws Dyson-I go over there and open the closet and pet it and talk to it but DH says forget it! ($$$) Someday!
DYSON, DYSON.  They are expensive but the BEST. I have had mine 4 years and I swear, I can roll it within 6 inches of a dust bunny and poof, GONE. The suction is amazing.
DH dislikes these very much ( I love them) Do you use it on laminate/hardwood too?

We use it everywhere.  Then I spray Bona on the hardwoods and mop it up.
