I've owned dogs in the past but never one that burped like a human. Rosie burps all the time and unless you know its her doing it you would swear it came from a big burly guy who just finished a wonderful meal. She does it all the time and has since she was a pup.
Maggie, Rosie's half sister, burps too but not like Rosie. Maggie is much more the lady of the group. I wondered if it was something unique to these two or is it a doodle thing?
Haven't noticed any "extra special" burping from Webster but our golden retriever/collie mix used to burp regularly. We would put down his food, he would eat in the kitchen, walk into the livingroom, stand in front of us, and burp. A nice, loud, "boy was that a great meal!" burp. Some days he ate just for nutritional sustanance, but on those days when he enjoyed his meal, he always came and "thanked" us.
My Doodle burps at least 10X a day every day. It is SOOOOOO loud and funny but I wonder if that is ok? I changed her food and it just stayed the same. My kids try to burp louder than her and they can't! I guess I would rather have her burp than well...you know... toot. My sister has a boxer and I guess she toots 1000x a day and it's torture on the nose.
