Does Your Doodle Take Sides?

The other night my DH and I were having a heated discussion (the night before our 23 anniversary -sigh). As our voices increased in volume, Achilles was watching intently. Then out of the blue he climbs in my lap gives me a big kiss and looks over at my husband. I felt that he considered both sides and totally took mine! I love this doodle.

How cute is that! There is not a doubt in my mind that my Doods would take my side in any "heated discussion". LOL. Yes, they are wimpy Mama's Boys, even Big Murph.

A dog "knows best" Smart doodle! Good boy! Does your DH realize what Archilles is doing? And now to answer our question... yes! Tori will usually bark at the person that she uh-hem sees as wrong. She does this with my boys too when they truly argue or even roughhouse.. then she often jumps right in and goes into attack mode on one of them! Very intuitive these doodles are!

He actually did realize it, he laughed and told Achilles that he wasn't going to get the extra long walk that night.he he. He knew he was wrong!

Samantha goes into my den (we have separate dens - TV issues) and curls up on my sofa. Guess that is taking sides. Smart girl!!!

DH says that Allie is "totally your dog". She follows me EVERYWHERE and gets a panicky look if she can not find me. I can count her in my corner whatever the issue;)

When i was upset during a heated discussion with my son, Neely was very upset and he was right by my side and even after was like glue to me. I think that he has also shown empathy at other times when I have been feeling badly physically and or emotionally. One of the wonders of having a pet, unconditional love.

I think Achilles is a very astute doodle! The whole Callie-sleeping-in-my-bed thing started on a night when I was in bed, having an arguement (I can't pretend it was even a heated discussion...I was just plain mad!) on the phone and Callie came up and crawled into my lap and started giving me kisses and snuggles (which is what I call it when she thunks her head into my chest). While she probably just recognized that I was upset, deep down I'm sure she thought that I was right! She's slept in my bed since then (and after I broke up with the guy, she went back to sleeping in it every night).

Yes... Remington always takes my side :) Dan and I sometimes play fight and Remington goes crazy at Dan like he is protecting me :)

That is so cute! Victoriah, you are looking for Doodle? A puppy? What size? We are looking for one as well, a small dood,(either golden, or labradoodle) to go with our mini Goldendoodle. We live in NE Portland. There are several great options.
