Hello! I don't really know what the stuff I am looking for is called or if they even make it but,,,,last night as I was walking my little 4 yr old on her bike and our two dogs Molly (the doodle) and Brady(the lab), we have taken a little longer route so my little one can ride her bike further and there are some apartments we go by and I noticed last week that there are alot of dogs there now ( I didn't even know they could have dogs in them) and as we turned the corner there was a huge white pitbull (at least 100lbs)standing in the front yard of one of the apartments and immediately the guy standing next to it grabbed its collar and made it lay on the ground and sat on it til we were up the road. Now I have had rotts before and it was a very good dog and I know it's all how you raise the dog BUT if it was such a good dog I don't see why the guy grabbed it and sat on it the way he did and I wondered what would've happened if it would have come after us. I also walk my dogs with a split leash it has one leash and then v's off to attatch to both of their collars so basically they are attatched if anything would have happened I would have protected my little girl first which now kinda makes me wonder if I should walk them w seperate leashes again. My question is is there a spray I could carry that if anything was to happen that I could spray on the attacking dog to get him to stop or go away???? And if there is what is it called and where could I get some??
After a close call with an unattended, unleashed dog. We bought something called Muzzle we got it online you can google it. Supposedly it is specifically designed for dogs. Thank goodness we have not had to use it but it makes me feel safer.
