Dog tags

What info do you guys like to put on your dog tags, and any recommendations of where to get them?

I bought mine online since my doodles fur discolors with certain metals so i use stainless steel.i it has name, address, home and cell phone. It also says vac(i don't keep the rabies tags on), lic, and has vet #.

Oh, to answer your question, I have their name, both of our cell numbers and home address on their tags. I figure if they can't reach us by phone, then hopefully they can at least try to bring them home. Also, our city will try to contact us and return them if they are registered for rabies with them if they are picked up or turned in to the shelter. So I do leave the rabies tag on them for this reason.

I order my tags from LuckyPet Pet Tags   http://www.luckypet.com/products.php?cat=217   I call them and order them over the phone so that I KNOW that all the info. will fit on the tags and is correct. They are so patient with me.   I choose a tag that can be written on on both sides (my preference is the plastic and metal shaped tags). The tags are guaranteed forever. I had one chip a bit and they sent me a new one immediately - it had to be the same shape but they made sure that the info. was updated and current. As for what I put on the tags:  FRONT:  Dog Name with our last name; dog lic. #; town and state (not address); both my husband's and my cell #s (be sure to include the area code - I just found a dog on vacation who had a phone number but no area code which was frustrating); BACK: vet phone #; Avid chip phone #.    By putting all the dog's information on the tag (like lic. # - if they are licensed, they are obviously current on rabies).   I don't have the dogs wear multiple tags so it is quieter.   I hope this helps.
