Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I am interested in adopting a Labradoodle or Goldendoodle. We are about to lose our angel Juliet a 11 year old yellow lab. She is the rock and foundation of our familys pet support system not to mention us!. We are soooo sad. Our 3 year old yellow lab Mariah will need a companion soon. We are absolute dog lovers and want to make this soon to be loss easier on Mariah. Any suggestions? We would like a puppy but our puppy training time is limited and feel an adult would be best If you know of anyone who needs to find an adoptive family please contact me. Thanks so much!

Bridgett have you sent  applications to IDog or the DRC? If you scroll down the front page of DoodleKisses you will see adult doodles who are available for adoption.  Doodles are in great demand so I think you need to put in an application for screening and then the organization will try to match you with a doodle that is appropriate for your household, lifestyle etc.

Not sure what you mean by "our puppy training time is limited" but please remember than an adult dog being rehomed also requires a fair amount of time to help him or her transition from their previous situation.

I forgot to mention that there are often doodles available outside of rescue organizations. The DRC also has a page for Doodles In Need in various regions of the U.S. Here is the link to the Northwest region doodles in need:

I am looking into this site. Thanks your an angel!

One more thing! Just want to say how sorry I am to hear that Juliet is ailing. I understand what a difficult time this is for you and your family.  It is very sweet of you to be concerned about Mariah's well being and understand how difficult it is for a dog to lose their companion too.

Thank you so much for your kindness! We lost our most magnicient boy Lancelot about 4 years to Cancer and got Mariah for Juliet to help with her grief. It is truly amazing and so touching the emotions our dogs have. Our family has always referred to our Labs as our beings. Thanks for the tip!

There was also an emergency rehome on here earlier in the week.  It is in CA and not sure if he is still available, but here is the link:

I sent her an email as he is just beautiful and sounds precious. I would so love to hear from the owner but am waiting on her to accept me as a friend. I live in Vancouver, WA so I am not sure if that will work. Your an angel for the tip!

there was also a phone number, website and facebook page listed on the original posting so try those as well if you haven't already.

No reply so far :(

I see Lucy and Sophie already added the link

Here it is a again. What a beautiful boy.

May I add, there are thousands of Labs in shelters.  Thousands. I see you already have and love labs.   Consider a lab also.
