DOODLE IDOL Kicks Off on Valentine's Day!

The Doodle Idol judges ( Parker, Calla & Luca; Nina, Phil & Harlow; Sue, Murphy & Bella; and Sandy b) have met and we're just about ready to get started. The contest will begin on Valentine's Day and run through March 15th! The judges will need a few extra days for deliberation, and so the winners will be announced on Friday, March 18th. We'll be "crowning" the 2011 Doodle Idol along with a first and second runner up! Here are a few more "contest specifics"....

Just about any "talent" will qualify. We're expecting a VERY broad array of talents from our Doodles.
There will be a limit of three submissions per Doodle. Yes, for those really multi-talented doggies, you will be able to submit more than one entry!
Please keep each video to no more than a few minutes (three max).
When you submit your video(s) please include the title, name & age of your Doodle, and a brief description.
Videos should all be submitted in the Doodle Idol Group (http://www.doodlekisses.com/group/doodleidol). You'll need to join the group to submit your video. Please be sure not to add your video anywhere else on the site, because the judges would likely not recognize it as an Idol entry.

Now for the really good news....yes, there are prizes. In addition to the overwhelming pride you will experience as your Doodle is crowned the DOODLE IDOL, Nina has also generously volunteered to provide prizes from Doggie B Goode! Thank you, Nina! Guinness and Murphy can attest to how DELICIOUS these home made treats are.

So, get those Doodles practicing. If they start to complain, just tell them about the treats! Over the next month, don't forget to keep checking the Doodle Idol group site to see the entries. I'm hoping this is fun for everyone. My guys still haven't demonstrated ANY video worthy talents, but I'm confident that they will. I need to get that Dog Trick book out. HAVE FUN DOODLES!!!!

I think that videos of talents previously posted can be reposted in the group if you want to submit them, though. Sounds like fun, Jane. I'm looking forward to seeing great performances.

I'm so glad it runs through march 15. Stella got spayed on Saturday and needs time to recover before she can perform her magnificant feat.

I'll send Bella over, if it's made of paper and somewhere she is not supposed to be, she will find it. You just have to get to her before she eats it!
