I totally understand what you are saying Sue. I can't resist kissing Gracie Doodle. If she is asleep in the "doodle position" with all four straight up I just zero in and kiss her tummy (this is why I prefer girl dogs...ha ha). She doesn't even flinch. Then I love to kiss that soft little area between the nose and lips. If I ask for a kiss she will walk across the room and give me huge kisses. With DH she will stand up and drape her front paws over his shoulders and kiss him for 5 minutes wagging her tail all the time. Doodle kisses are the best ever. I do the same with my grandchildren but don't get the chance to do it very often. Four of them live in Boston. My DH just came back from visiting and he said that little Laura, our newest who is now almost 14 months old, will hear him making the kissing sound and just lean her head towards him or into his face if he is holding her for the big kiss. If she is sitting in her chair and he walks by doing the kissing noise she will bow her head and lean for a kiss on the top of the head Very cute and I am missing it all!!! These are the cherished moments that are so special and remain in your heart forever. I'm glad DH got to experience it but boy do I want it too!!!
What a sweet baby to lean into her grandpa's kisses. I wish you were enjoying the same delightful gesture. Hoping you can hop on a plane before long and have your own special bonding time.
OMG.... I cannot pass either doodles without giving a pet, kiss, hug etc. etc. I should count in one day how many times I kiss them - LOL its probably in the thousands :) I love my doodles !!!!
I am soooo not licking Lachlan's nose. I know where it's been!
But I'll still kiss it repeatedly. Must kiss nose! Must kiss!
Of course I kiss Sasha!
Her nose...face...head...and I give her Lots of hugs too!!
She's my girl...and she lets me!!
She really doesn't seem to mind at all...Thankfully...
