Doodle scared of storms

I have posted before that Lily's energy level decreases when it rains. She hates her paws wet. What do you do when your doodle is scared of something like storms?I have tried the thunder shirt, playing music, closing the blinds and closing windows but she will still just hide under the table and sleep all day. I know when a storm is coming because she will go hide before the dark clouds even roll in. I am watching my neighbors dog today and he is not scared of thunder at all, I was hoping he would rub off on her. Should I just leave her to sleep the day away? It just worries me when she is not her normal self.

Poor Lily girl. That is sad. But I don't know that there is any harm in her being calm and sleeping through a storm. I would think there could be worse reactions to storms. Remember the movie "Marley"? Now that would be a problem! Sounds like you are doing all you can, but I hope others will have some advice to help your girl.

Our doodle completely freaks out in storms, even with the thunder shirt, calming music, herbal remedies etc.  She shakes like crazy a hides between my back and the back of the couch.  If we aren't home we find her in the bathtub.  Ive been trying to figure this out for years, but her reaction just gets worse.

I guess I will just let her work it out herself. If she feels safe hiding and sleeping I don't mind. It just makes me feel sad for her that she is so scared!

Bachs Rescue Remedy always worked wonders for our Golden who was terrified of thunderstorms.  At the time, we were living in Texas...a very common occurrence!  They sell a human version tool...so make sure, should you purchase, it is the animal form.

All I can say is I hope she continues to sleep through the scary parts. I wish I could fall asleep when I am worried. Bless her heart. Good luck!
