Doodle vs Dood

I call my girls and all other Doodles.....Doodles

I have heard Doods use more often lately, I personally dislike the name "doods". Where did it start? We have been around for 7 years and the year before on MySpace always Doodles.....oh yes, I brought out MySpace :)

I don't know why "doods" makes my skin crawl, but it does. I find myself correcting people when they say it. As in "my Dood is laying at my feet right now" I will say " Oh, I love DOODLE snuggles" and will say Doodle till they stop saying Doods....I know it sounds crazy, but I really can not stand it!


My post is what you use when referencing your dogs DOODLE or DOODS?

LOL! I don't think I hate it as much as you do, Tante, but I don't like it and I never use the term "doods" myself.

This is so funny to see! I call Darwin a "DOOD" all of the time and don't mind it at all, but I can definitely see how it would be irritating. :-)

My nickname pet peeve? HUBBY. I can not stand that word!!! LOL

It's funny how certain terms bother one person and not another. I can't stand when adults use the word "doggie". It makes my flesh crawl. When someone posts on the DRC website that they want to adopt a "doggie", I feel like banning them from the site, lol.The only time it doesn't bother me is when Adina says it, for some reason she uses it in a way that isn't annoying.

I seem to say "pups" a lot. LOL. I know, it is weird how some things bug some people. Someone I know HATES it when people call her kids "kiddos" he he.

Yes, Adina, I do have a clear memory of your having used "doggy" or "doggie" on several occasions. But you usually use it the way I use "Fido" and "Rover", as a name for a generic dog. As in "Doggy, come" and NOT "Oh, I just love my doggies".

I hate when people call each other "dude", too, especially when they call a woman "dude". But I think that might be a generational thing, lol.
