Doodles in Newfoundland

We are getting our Goldendoodle puppy on June 1st, and we are beyond excited. I wish it was time to get her now. Ovie will be 8 weeks on June 1st, and she is a standard F1 apricot doodle. She is coming from a breeder in New Brunswick (Goldenridge Kennel, if anyone has heard of them).

I'm just wondering if many people in Newfoundland have Labradoodles or Goldendoodles? Particularly in the St. John's area. We live an hour outside of St. John's, but would not mind taking our dog to town some weekends to have some social/play time with other doodles. I hear they mix and play together really well. :)

Hi Kerilynn welcome to Doodlekisses.  There are lots of doodles in and around St John's and I tell everyone I meet about Doodlekisses but I must not be very persuasive since no one signs on. :>)  I have Quincy a 4yr old Goldendoodle who is just the best dog ever ( I may be a little biased) and we live in Torbay. 

Doodlekisses is a great resource for lots of info on all things doodle. There are many groups but the first one I would suggest for you is Puppy Madness it will give you a really good idea of what lies ahead. :>)

I'm so excited to get our puppy. I wish June 1st was here so we could take her home. I'm sure I will have lots of questions. I joined the Puppy Madness group, so I'm sure that will be very helpful. I'm nervous and excited all at once.

Are there many dog parks in St. John's? This is something we'd like to avail of on some weekends... Puppy play dates would be fun too. I'd love to Ovie to meet some other Doodles.

Enjoy that sweet pup when you get it. Donna is a great photographer, wise woman and too funny for words. You have a super DKer nearby! And Quincy, well what can we say about him? He's perfect!

Thanks everyone. We can't wait to take Ovie home with us! June 1st won't come fast enough. I'd love to set up a puppy play date with some other Doodles in the area. We go to St. John's on the weekends fairly frequently.
