Doods and TV

All this talk about the Puppy Bowl and our doods watching....I love all the posts and pictures. But I was wondering...Daisy Never Notices TV no matter what is on, does everyone's doodle actually watch, should I be worried?

Maybe she prefers reading? LOL

HAHAHahahaha!  That is hilarious!  My doodle does that for doorbells, too.  And our actual doorbell here hasn't worked in 2 years.  He ALSO 'devours' books.  Cute picture!

LOL  Devour books!   I've had a few dogs do that.  A few years ago, when Spud was a baby, he ate the last 3 pages of my book.

I went to the grocery store, sat down on the magazines, and finished my book!!

All of my dog training books have chewed edges. I guess they are the ones I had out most when we had puppies, but it still cracks me up.

Mine don't watch the t.v., but every once in a while, if there is a dog Sophie will jump up and bark at it. She is also really  curious about how I make the t.v. turn off and on using that special 'chew toy' that I won't let her play with. :)

Huh, it's funny ... I hadn't even thought about this with my boys, but I don't think I've even had the TV on since I brought Lachlan home. I'd mostly rather spend my time at the computer (nerd, yep) or reading a good book and rarely watch TV unless I'm really sick and can't do anything else.

Lachlan does sometimes, when I'm playing World of Warcraft, rest his chin on my desk and watch for a few minutes. Very bright cartoon-y animations, I guess. I'll have to flop down in front of the TV this weekend and see what they do.

Luna most definitely watched "Undercover Boss" last night.  I think maybe it was all the cars (it was one of the bosses of NASCAR).  I watched her look directly at the screen for a good 5 minutes. 

She has a long history of watching TV, and often goes right up to the TV and puts her paws up if she sees an animal on the screen.  If it's a dog, she actually tries to sniff the tv and leaves nose prints. :p  She also watches funny animal videos on Youtube with me all the time.

Monty would occasionally stare at the TV, especially when there are animals. This pic shows him "watching" the AKC Westminster Kennel show at Thanksgiving.

He is not much of "reader" either. He only devoured one magazine when he was little:

He hasn't read anything since then, LOL. We are hoping for him to become a R.E.A.D. dog so that kids can read to him in the local library.
