Ginger will not let me brush her chest or tummy.  She cowers (?) down and I can hardly turn her over.  I can brush the rest of her okay..but the chest and sometimes she pulls back her front paws too and hides them.  I have used several different brushes and combs, so I don't think that it is the tool I am using.  My son can hold a treat up high and she looks up and tries to get the treat, and I can get a little donebut not as much is I like.  The funny thing is, if I don't have a brush in  hand, she is ALL tummy and I can run my fingers through snarls, without a problem.  SOmetimes I wish I was Edward Scissorhands so I could groom at a moments notice!!

Any suggestions...please!!!!!

thanks.which one do you have, coarse, medium or fine?
I was afraid you were going to ask that!!! LOL! I'm not sure because it doesn't say on it and when I bought it didn't know I had options! I am guessing it is the fine one though.  Tara's hair is very fine and this one even works fairly well on the cat's coat too so it is probably fine. The teeth are approx.  1/16 of an inch apart on this one.
Myla does this too and she is up high on a grooming table. Chloe will let me do anything if she is laying on her back on the floor!
I generally wait till Gavin is alsleep and that's when I strike with nail trimmers, brushes, combs etc.. By that time he has no energy to resist me ;)
