These 8 10-week-old labradoodle puppies were relinquished to DRC volunteer and rescue partner Elizabeth Gunn of Gunn Dogs Rescue by a BYB in Arkansas. The DRC and Gunn Dogs are collectively caring for them.

There are 3 chocolate girls and 5 boys, chocolate and black.

These babies are severely malnourished, flea and worm infested, have various skin conditions, eye and ear infections, diarrhea, and giardia. They have never seen a vet
(Their parents also have never been seen by a vet. Gunn Dogs and the DRC were unable to negotiate the release of the parents with this "breeder".)

These puppies were starving, dehydrated and lethargic when they arrived. Initial vetting indicates that they are Parvo free but they need to be closely monitored for symptoms over the next few weeks and fecal tests will need to be repeated with or without presentation of symptoms. They all required sub-cutaneous fluids and they are being treated for all the various infections along with the worms and giardia. Elizabeth is also providing them with electrolyte supplements and high calorie puppy food.

We are in the process of finding suitable fosters/care-givers. Needless to say, the task ahead of us is huge, but I have no doubt that the day will come when all of us here will smile at photos of 8 healthy, beautiful doodle puppies, going to their loving forever homes.
We need your help to make that day a reality.

Please make a donation to the DRC on behalf of the Arkansas Puppies. Any amount will help so much. And thank you, DK Family, for your generous and caring hearts, from the bottom of mine.
The puppies thank you, too!

So, so sad!!! That just breaks my heart! They are WAY to thin. :o( The bottom one is loosing hair! I really don't understand how people can be so cruel. I'm sure you wonder every day.
Every day.
Thanks, April, for being a responsible and caring breeder AND person.
This is heartbreaking. Lets hope they all make a full recovery and find great homes!
This breaks my heart. I'm so grateful that they're finally being cared for. I'm praying for "happy tails" for all of them. If only this "breeder" would relinquish the parents....otherwise this will only repeat itself.
So true!!
Thanks for alerting the DK community about this sad situation. I'm glad that the puppies were rescued in time. I just donated to the cause. Keep us updated on their status and outlook for adoption.
The saddest thing of all is that these BYB continue to get away with this because of the lack of laws in some states. How can someone look at these pictures and not want to help? It makes me sick every time something like this is posted. Thank you to all who are in involved with saving these eight puppies!
Those photos break my heart. They need some good TLC. Keep us posted.
What gorgeous puppies! Poor babies - Thank goodness their problems are treatable. Hope there is nothing else found with their health issues. Praying we'll see them soon listed for adoption. Kudos to all the help!
What an awful thing. You guys are doing such great work. Please do keep us updated.
I meant to also add that anyone who runs a puppy mill is just sick. Look at these poor babies. They are so skinny - you can especially see it in the chocolate dood. Paws and fingers crossed that all 8 become healthy doods. This will be great to watch their transformation because we know they will be even more gorgeous.
I am checking with a co-worker to see if she can help- those pups are adorable!
