Ella keeps getting caught on the stairs outside :(

Hope you can help.

EVERY time Ella goes outside, her tie-out gets caught either on the corner of the steps, or in the crack of the bricks coming up the stairs. She is in the front yard most of the time, and there really isn't room for a trolley system. I am not a fan of electric fences, but that might be my only option... I have included a picture of the steps and hope you have some ideas! Thanks DK members!

Is it possible to get some kind of fatter rubber tubing to draw the tie out through? It would help with the cracks not so sure about the corners of the steps? That's a tough one.

Our electric fence has given Neely the whole yard front and back to play in and not be limited when we are outside together.
