Multigen Australian labradoodles, ALD for short, (not to be confused with an Aussiedoodle which is Australian shepherd and poodle) have been bred for certain characteristics since around 1984.  This is longer than it sounds since dogs mature much earlier than humans.  A knowledgable and ethical American breeder of ALDs can predict with more certainty than other doodle breeds what the puppies of a particular breeding with be like.

What matters is that the parent dogs are health tested. What matters is that the pairing of the dogs is to produce healthy, well-tempered dogs. What matters is that they are not sold on websites like Kijiji or pet stores or Craig's list.  These are poorly bred dogs whatever label you put on them.
