I think he will shed--pull some hairs on the hindquarters--if you get more than two or three, he is going to shed. Maybe a lot. I am sad that you did not hear this from the breeder--when we sell pups that we know will shed,(I work for a breeder) we give the buyer a discount even if they don't care about the shedding. There is no guarantee that F1Bs will not shed nor any guarantee that two doodles from the same litter will be the same--curlier often means less likely to shed.
I do think he will doodle out--let me show you some pics--one is of a pup who looked the same at 8 weeks and then him again at 6 and 8 months--hard to believe it is the same pup--but he does shed.
I'll add that even some of the fluffiest, curliest doodles here do shed. So even a puppy with a curlier coat may still not be non-shedding as an adult.
True--but you have a greater CHANCE of a non-shedder---but no guarantee.
He seems to have wavy hair on his face. I'm confident that he'll doodle out.
The truth is that if he does turn out to be a shedder it will be too late, you will already be in love so you will learn to buy all your clothes that color, keep tape rollers around the house and vacuum more frequently. Turns out shedding is a pain but doodles that love you are so worth it. He is a cutie!
