Fascination with poop???

I just got a call from DH. He took our Lola to his work, which is a giant field  where she can run and play. I answered the phone to "So our beautiful little girl just rolled in a pile of *&$%". She had the ENTIRE field in which to roll around, and the picked the pile of poop. Do any of your doodles have this fascination with poop???

Last night, Axl ran around at my neightbor's house & apparenly ate deer poop for dessert.  Barfed it up a few hours later.  Totally gross!  Fortunately, he's feeling okay today.  But how do you politely ask your neighbors to clean up their backyard of wild animal mess?  I guess you can't.  Next playdates will be at our house!

Ya, and those animals poop so often, you'd be out there all day cleaning it up!!!!! Barfed up poop might be the worst thing I've ever smelled. Especially when it's on doodle's bed and you have to carry it to the washer.....bleh!

ROFL!  All my dogs love to roll in anything stinky, the stinkier the better is their motto.  If there is a dead animal within a mile of our house my dogs will find it.  I swear they leave it to age for at least a week before rolling in it.  If you think a live skunk smells bad, wait till you have to deal with a dead decaying one.  Be grateful its just poop Lola found.

barf. Sorry to hear that, lol!!! I'm glad Lola left it to just poop. She tried to bee-line it to dead animals during walks, but (to-date) she's never actually reached one, so I don't know if she would roll in it, or eat it. I probably just jinxed myself....

Thanks Ladies, this is definitely making me feel better about Bella eating her own poop. At least that is the only poop she eats and I know what's in it.  I am always on high alert with her as I never know if she will start eating other animals droppings, but so far she hasn't. And yes, the barfed up poop is the worst!

Lola actually has eaten her own poop too. It's not as gross, but when she comes back inside and gives DH a big sloppy kiss on the mouth, I always wonder what she was up to out there in the preceding 5min. I'm a bit of a nut now with keeping our lawn poop-free. I might as well be standing behind Lola with a bag under her bum I'm that fast at picking it up! Or I could buy one of these....I love the giant intricate harness involved!!

Of course I would never subject Lola to such a thing!
