What would be the benefit of feeding a dog eggs. I've been reading about raw and while I'm not in the place to switch her right now I am feeding her the natures variety instinct an want to know if feeding her an egg every once in a while will be benificial even if she is on kibble. Thanks!!

Eggs contain high quality protein and several micronutrients which can be beneficial, like biotin. However, if you are feeding a high quality food like Instinct, she is getting everything she needs and really doesn't need any extra nutrients.

I occasionally give Beau a little egg when he is bored with his kibble. BTW - Remi is a doll!

Chopped hardboiled eggs are a great topper for picky eaters. And scrambled eggs have been my "go to" food for sick dogs who won't eat anything and really need to.

We have six hens that give us five to six eggs a day.  Our dogs share in this bounty.  They absolutely love scrambled eggs or chopped hard boiled eggs.  We have heard - but cannot verify it, that free run chickens like ours, produce eggs with lower cholesterol. That is due to the wide range of their diet; bugs, grasses, etc. besides the standard chicken feed.  I do know, however, that the eggs our chickens produce taste better...
