FINALLY -U.S. proposes rules to boost animal feed, pet food safety

The FDA has finally taken a step, albeit a minor one, regarding the safety of pet food!  Here is a link to the Reuters story.

This is good news, but you'll notice the feed manufacturers' associations are already up in arms and promising "extensive comments".

Yes, and I expect there will be many comments from the manufactures about how many "safety practices" are in place, but at least it is a step in the right direction on the part of the FDA.  Hopefully, strict guidelines will eventually be outlined and mandated.
