she has a very similar coat to dixie and i like the length of her she still looks so cute x i have to brush dixie about 3-4 times a day so she doesn't get mats

Does she like the brushing or just tolerate it? What kind of brush/comb do you use?
How old is she? Thanks
Yeah she loves being brushed she sees the brush and lays down with her legs in the air! And she will turn when she wants to be brushed on her back! I got it from vet it's a comb and she is 7 months

You're absolutely right, no mats here!  I have 2 ALD's and I spend about an hour each every week brushing them.  I purchased a grooming table and it makes it very easy to do.  Ivy (pictured) has more of a wavy coat, my other, Oliver is wooley and the key to keeping them mat free and putting the time into brushing.  I also have them both groomed every 4-6 weeks and no wash in between.

What brand brush do you use? How old when you started brushing? TY

Adorable!

I'm going to keep your notes and this photo to use when Penny gets her first haircut.
This is what she looks like when she is clipped!!
Jake has had 2 clips, he is 8 months old.

The first was short body, longer tail, face, and hair.

The second was short all over because well it's AZ and it's hot here.

He has a fleece coat, right now...

I give him a shower, he loves it, once a week.

He hates being brushed and fortunately he doesn't mat.
