New to the Group - Oliver had a seizure
Oliver had a seizure yesterday afternoon. He is 8 years old and this is a first, it lasted about 1 minute, he was on his side, shaking terribly, lost control of his bladder and drooling. Oliver had a seizure this afternoon. He is fine now, still a bit anxious but I brought him to my vet, she checked him out and did bloodworm and all is normal. He also had TPLO surgery 2 weeks ago and had his follow up yesterday and all is going well with his recovery. The Vet cannot tell me why he had the seizure, there is no way that he could have gotten into anything as we have had him contained in a pen, bringing him out only to go to the bathroom. Welcome Nancy Oliver and Kasey! My cockapoo is Buddy on the right in the picture below and a generational labraddodle Kona on the left. Buddy is 7 years next month and Kona just turned 5. Great to see another doodle and poo owner here, have fun, great info and people here, your dogs are adorable :)

Welcome! Be sure to read the link to DRC ADOPTION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES. http://doodlerescue.org/notes/DRC_ADOPTION_POLICIES_AND_PROCEDURES especially noting children’s age minimum.
The Adoption application form is at the top of the page.
Check the DRC ADOPTABLE PETS on our home page. When you are looking at the Adoptable Pet pictures, notice that the two letters in front of the dog’s name mean the state they are being fostered in. While the DRC allows out of state applicants, they cannot transport the rescues and will not let them fly, so you need to be within driving distance of the foster.
Other suggestions to find a rescue doodle: click on the REGIONAL LISTINGS section http://doodlerescue.org/groups/doodlesinneedinnorthamerica ; and check PETFINDER (putting in all zip codes within driving distance); also GOOGLE in shelters and humane societies within your driving range. Check back often.
