We have a beautiful girl named Lucy.  She is health and active.  But, she doesn't eat!!!  She is standard size, 1 1/2 yrs old and weighs about 35 pounds.  She loves treats and cheese, she even likes her food but, she is so thin. We just got her some of Rachel Rays dog food.  We also give her dried chicken meat treats.   Do other doodles have this problem?  Do any of you have any suggestions about how to feed a doodle??

Bonnie, we have a very large (700+ members), very active group here on Doodle Kisses called The Food Group, where we have literally hundreds of discussions about dog foods, picky eaters, problem eaters, treats, homecooking, and everything else you could possibly think of related to feeding your dog. We also have a list of recommended foods, and we have detailed analyses of the ingredients in the poorer quality foods. Unfortunately, Rachael Ray's food is not a very good product at all, so as long as your dog doesn't want to eat it, I'd switch her. We did an analysis of the Rachael ray product in TFG, too, if you're interested in seeing why we don't recommend it.

Our Neely likes to eat at about 1 am. He doesn't eat much at all during the day. Lots of water and his bowl is always full or food. He is a healthy weight of around 75pds. If we didn't leave the food bowl out at night he not likely would have been eating either. You may want to keep a bowl where he sleeps and see what happens.
We also used the food group for health. Just switched from grain to grain free also. they LOVE their new food. Good luck, it's one of the hardest choices as a dog mom to know what to get and what you can afford to get.
