I received a funny email today.

We are looking for another puppy to add to our family so I have been on on countless websites and have inquired about so many pups so far.  So I'm not sure who this was from because they did not say...

SO I write her back asking for more information and if I can call her and pictures.  She writes me back and see attachment for pictures.  Looked like those pictures from the puppy breeders so I looked up as many as possible and YUP found those pictures from someone in PENN.

Hello Joanna
> Thanks for your sympathy dear,
> We will like to know which sex you are interested in okay, and we will
> help you arrange for a home delivery service to LA hope that is okay.
> As concerns the re homing and delivery fee you will pay just $240 okay.
> Do get back to me if that is okay with you

> Waiting

I told her I wanted home pics of them together and she said she will send them to me tonight.  She also said she posted those pictures which is a lie because the ones I found were in a diff state and they were listed for something like $800.

Isn't it SO ODD?  Is she making up her daughters accident for sympathy?  She said her daughter passed 3 wks ago...and these pups are 10 wks old?  why is she giving them out for free?  why is she using pictures from the web?  Is something wrong with the pups?  I'm so confused and sad.  Is she a broker? a puppy mill?  Or am I being too suspicious?  HELP!

Sounds like a scam to me.

There is nothing about this that sounds right.  Extremely fishy and odd.

I would stay very far away from this....you are NOT being too suspicious.

I wouldnt go near this one with a ten foot barge pole as the saying goes

I don't understand where this came from. What kind of sites are you looking at? If you are looking at sites where there are multiple listings of lots of puppies from different breeders, that's an on-line broker and you are dealing with puppy mills. Please stay away from those kinds of sites. Only look at individual breeder's sites. A good place to start would be the recommended Breeders group here on Doodle Kisses, as well as the Goldendoodle and labradoodles for Sale groups.

I don't know where the above came from, but it is NOT from a legitimate breeder.

Also, If you are looking at ads for puppies, and the price is less than $1200, you are dealing with puppy mills and BYBs. If you have not already read What to Look for in a Breeder, please do before you look any further.

Hi Karen,

Yes I am looking on breeder websites but occasionally I'll look at oodles marketplace and petfinder.com and I think this is where this person got my info.

Sorry when I wrote above I was in a rush but I meant to say puppy broker website where I wrote "breeder website".  I noticed the pictures right away and found that they were indeed posted on a broker website from Pennsylvania.

Don't look at ads for puppies. Not even on Petfinder. Petfinder is great for adopting homeless dogs, bad for buying dogs, lol. Don't look at broker websites. Regardless of what they tell you, you are supporting animal cruelty when you deal with brokers. There is not one legitimate or reputable doodle breeder in North America who sells puppies through a broker. Why would they, and split the money with the broker?

I'm not looking at broker websites.  I only recognized the picture format of what she sent.

ANd yes...I am looking at Petfinder because they have all breeds listed from Rescues =)  Ideally I would like to rescue

Good, good, good! Whew!

thank you!  I will read the links you sent me too!  Very helpful!!

Here's a link to the Owner Recommended Breeders group. Go to some of the breeder websites listed there so you can get a feeling for what a legitimate breeder's website looks like.

STAY AWAY from sites like this: http://www.nextdaypets.com/directory/dogs/sale/1100300/

There are no legitimiate or reputable breeders advertising puppies like this.
