No I haven't noticed Annabelle being affected by a full moon other than she can see better and isn't so skittish. The pitch dark does seem to spook her. A couple of weeks ago was creepy. I took her out to do her business about 11pm and we heard our gate swinging and Annabelle started barking and growling like crazy. I didn't see anything because the moon wasn't visible and it was so dark. But she wanted to go right back in the house without going potty. She went and hid in her safe place the rest of the night.
Oh ...creepy! Wonder if it was anything besides just the swinging gate??? That would have made me nervous all night!
I don't know, we keep our gate latched because of Annabelle and it is just my husband and I, so no kids leaving it open. I was nervous about it all night. I checked it in the morning and it was latched, go figure. It sounded just like the gate, I don't what else it could have been. It sure spooked us though.
No unusual behavior with Bailey and the full moon....just business as usual. Now noises are a different story!! :>(
How does he act differently when there isn't a full moon? Wants to come right back in? It's probably due to all the interesting shadows the full moon gives the yard. Just a guess. Or part werewolf, like you said. lol
Is there a door or window nearby? Maybe the light keeps him up and gets him excited? I haven't noticed any changes with our pup. She enjoys going out at night to exercise but the moon hasn't affected her that I've noticed. TBH I am not completely sure she notices it too much. She does get spooked sometimes when it is very dark. Once she stopped and it turns out a large stag was quite close, just staring.
