Funny Things Doodles Do

Hi Everyone :)  Just curious... does your Doodle do some crazy things?  I know they are very playful.  For example, Lan LOVES to go up to my husband and wack him!  All you see it this furry paw just wack him on the head.  Like, he can be laying on the couch and she walks up and wacks him on the head.  He can be sleeping and first thing Lan does is run up to him and wack him in the face.  It's the funniest thing!  I keep joking I should have named her Lizzie Borden... you know "Lizzie Borden took an ax and gave her mother 40 wacks..." lol.  Just wondering what other crazy things your doodles do.

Sadie also communicates a lot with her paws and always has, with people and with other dogs, too. It's more than just a paw on the lap or leg for some pets--she paws me when she's frustrated (and not gently!), she paws the door when she wants to go out... And if we're in the TV room and she wants to go out, she'll put her paw on the windowsill.

Zach also uses his paws a lot. The first thing he learned was "high five" because he was always using his paws. If my head is within in reach he gives me a wack in forehead  - a version of high five  to let me know he wants to play. He is also much taller than my other dogs, and puts is paws and their heads in a very gentle playful way - at first they were not amused, but now they know it's a game and that they are not going to be crushed the play along.

Myla will sit next to me in bed wagging her tail really fast and take her right paw and "tap" me really hard, I ignore her and then she does it over and over until I get up with her. Last night Chloe walked up to DH on the couch and head butted him when he was laying there, she wanted to go out for the 3rd time in 20 minutes to eat ice balls. Mylas burps twice after every meal. Myla also moans like a REALLY EXHAUSTED HUMAN MOAN when she's laying down to rest or goes to bed. Chloe stands on top of me to wake me up. There's a ton more I'm sure...they are doodles!!

When Luna gets up in the morning she rolls around on her back on the carpet in the hallway making very loud wookie/alien/very odd noises. 

She stayed with relatives for the holiday season and they say that they thought there was something wrong with her the first morning because the noises are so strange!

She is extremely vocal (minus barking - unless she's in the back yard).  It's mostly weird groaning, wookie and whiny noises.

The other "Doodle" things Lani does is she LOVES to stand on her hind legs and walk around on two legs like a person.  She comes up to me and stands up and wants me to hold her front paws and lead her around the house while she walks on her two back feet.  I swear she also thinks she's part kangaroo!!!  She LOVES to jump.  Do any other doodles do these things too?

Chloe is FAMOUS for walking on 2 legs!! All around the neighborhood! Too funny!

Here is a funny thing Sophie did this morning. i locked the kitty out of my room in the night because she was going bonkers and driving me nuts. So early this morning she woke me up by scratching vigorously on the door trying to get in. Sophie loves her kitty, so of course she was concerned. She went to the door and opened it to let Kitty in. How on earth she learned to do that is beyond me. I think maybe she jumped up and pawed at the knob at the same time kitty was head butting the door so it popped open. But wow, what a team they make!!

It's so fun reading this thread...Sierra wacks us too.  She also hops around reminding me of a bunny, especially when she's about to pounce a toy.  When we first got her she was too tiny to get up on the sofa and we would assist.  One day she wasn't getting the assistance she wanted...she backed up took a running start and did it on her own.  I was so amused that she would think to do that.  She also likes running back and forth along the back of the sofa reminding me of a cat I had so long ago.  She's also a natural at fetching....since she was soooo tiny she brought back a toy we threw for her...never even expecting her to fetch, so that's one of her favorite games.  If she's on the sofa when we throw it she takes a huge leap into the air upon her take off!
