Toby is 14 months, probably 70 pounds or so. He is a ball of boisterous energy and fun. But...one of his favourite things to do is eat his meal of kibble, one piece at a time, out of my hand. He is so very gentle doing this - plucks the piece of kibble from my fingers with his teeth. Needless to say this is not a daily occurence, but sometimes, just for fun, we do this. I like this very gentle side of him, and he loves that time of personal attention. Does anyone else have a doodle with this funny, endearing habit?
Sometimes I do mini training sessions with kibble - Peri actually does what I ask in hopes of a hand-fed bit of kibble! Isn't that funny? Maybe it is the same thing - she thinks she is getting special attention and does that gentle "pluck" like you describe.
What you didnt know is he was a well trained parrot in his last life! LOL! Kaela the baby (4 months old) knocks her water dish over on purpose and trods through the water! (Well it sure seems like she does it intentionally) My 4 yr old says "Mommmmmm Kaela is trying to cool off her feet again!" LOL

Allie doesn't like to eat her food out of her bowl. She will walk by it all day long and pay no attention to it at all, but she will eat it if we dump it on the floor!!!! Sometimes that is the only way we can get her to eat!
