Callie ate about a pound of grass on Sunday (which she threw up...the rest of the night). We went to the vet, she got fluids and an anti-nausea shot and was pretty ok after that. Except for the GAS. On any given day, Callie is given to stinky toots. HOWEVER, it reached the point last night that her smelly tush woke me up at 3am! We are talking about a smell that was so rank that it reached its way through my tylenol-pm induced slumber! My first thought was that Callie must have had diarrhea in my bed. Fortunately, that was not the case. Unfortunately, she was sleeping in such a way that he tush was right up against my shoulder, so the smells were front and center.

Other than a cork, any suggestions to get us over this hurdle of stink?

Uh, maybe you should give the bed to Callie and take the floor for you... I hear that gas rises so you should be safe. teehee
Hmmm, not sure which is worse waking up to the smell or one of my dog's favorite - sitting by my feet while I'm eating breakfast and letting loose a silent but deadly odor.  If you find the secret let me know so I can actually finish my breakfast and you can get a good night's rest!
At least you know what caused the gas - grass.  KoKo just lets go  anytime - anywhere and does she stink.  If someone finds a cure for stinky toots market it and I'll be the first to order.
We deal with stinky gas but our solution is to send the dog out of the room.  "We'll be friends until the end, but this looks like the end, my friend......"  What I find hilarious is when Webster actually "toots" - audibly.  He jerks his head around and stairs at his butt as though he doesn't know what in the world just happened :-)
Frannie..I have a solution for the smell....spray Febreze on your top sheet and sleep with it over your head!!  LOL Good luck : )
